Briefly outline your journey from graduation to now.
I decided to do a post grad marketing degree and went into corporate marketing and then started my own business. I haven’t used my languages studies as part of my career but still try to practise French and Spanish for personal reasons like travel.
What is your current job? Marketing consultant
What does your current job involve day to day?
I have my own business where I consult my clients with their business and marketing strategy. I do this online so work from anywhere in the world and travel a lot.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The freedom and flexibility
What advice would you give to someone interested in this job?
Working for myself was the hardest but best decision I’ve ever made! If you’ve always wanted to try it, go for it, but don’t be afraid to reach out for help from those who have done it successfully!
How has your languages degree been useful during your career so far?
It has been useful for travel
