Degree: Spanish and Politics
How did you spend your Year Abroad?
I spent my first term at UDLAP in Puebla, Mexico studying Politics and Mexican Culture. I spent my second term at the Universitat de Barcelona studying languages and Politics.
Briefly outline your journey from graduation to now.
I did a PGCE after my undergrad and spent two years as a teacher. After that I started working for Multiverse in apprenticeship training courses delivering AI and data content.
What is your current job? Data and AI coach.
What does your current job involve day to day?
I help apprentices to apply data and AI skills in their role and deliver return on investment to their company from their apprenticeship course.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy connecting with people from all over the world.
What advice would you give to someone interested in this job?
You should be passionate about helping people to unlock their potential through learning new skills.
How has your languages degree been useful during your career so far?
It helped me to get into teaching and subsequently help young apprentices further their careers. It has enabled me to connect on a deeper level with people from countries whose native language I can speak. It furthers connection and enhances relationships instantly giving a deeper understanding of their background and culture.
Do you use or practise your languages outside of work?
I mainly use it for travel and TV these days.
